Whether you are new to Yoga, just returning to your practice, or a seasoned student, we offer alignment based classes which teach you the fundamentals that will become the very foundation of your practice. What is Hot Yoga? This style of yoga originates from Calcutta, India; known for its hot climate. Hot Yoga follows a specific sequence of postures created to work with the benefits of the heat. Heat protects the muscles as they move through their full range of motion. When practicing in the heat, endorphins are released helping reverse the negative effects of stress. Heat increases the heart rate, which, in turn strengthens the cardiovascular system. Hot Yoga helps your body rejuvenate itself through the process of sweating, helping release harmful toxins from your body. What are the Benefits of Hot Yoga? Hot Yoga provides many benefits to your health, not just increased flexibility. Other benefits include decrease in back pain, arthritis relief, greater strength, increased focus, better balance and posture, weight loss, and stress reduction. Hot Yoga makes you feel great! After an eight month layoff, I started running five weeks ago and I could not be more pleased with my progress. Honestly, I give hot yoga complete credit for increasing my range of motion and eliminating my subtle imbalances. You guys have me running injury free-a feat which numerous top-notch physicians and alternative medicine gurus had been unable to accomplish. I most certainly intend to continue my yoga practice forever. Selina Hothouseyogi.com Hilltop Studio 1952 Laskin Rd., Suite 507 Virginia Beach 23454 Phone 757.428.0099 (behind Capt.
