New Year’s Resolutions and Diets Don’t Work

Did you make a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight this year? If you were like most of the statistics you gave up after two weeks. Maybe you were one of the thousands who joined a gym and even though you have not been in months you are still paying $30-$60 per month for your membership fee. Make this year different! Hire me to coach you step by step to making healthy choices that will benefit you for a lifetime. In order for you to have change, YOU must change and change what you are doing!

As a personal trainer it is my relentless passion to help people get healthy. I guess that is what separates me from many trainers. Some trainers and their clients focus on losing weight. I focus on my client. What is important to them and why.

Many of my clients are busy professionals who find it nearly impossible to get in aworkout several times a week. Driving to and from a gym cuts into their schedules and limits their time with their family or other priorities. I help my clients save time by coming to them, in the privacy of their homes. I save them the added expense of gym memberships and fees and a one year contract. Instead of focusing on a number on a scale, I focus on helping each client make healthy choices one day at a time. As a by product of their healthy choices, weight loss is one of the results.

Some of the healthy choices clients make is what to eat and how often. I do not mean a starvation diet! Most diets shut down the metabolism with starvation. I educate my clients on proper nutrition and how to support their work out and speed up their metabolism. What’s the difference? For one, low fat, low carbohydrate and low calorie diets are so often a marketing gimmick. If they worked, why is obesity increasing? Why is diabetes increasing? Most people need better nutrition and less processed foods. I educate clients and even go with them to the grocery store and help them to understand why less processed, more natural foods are better for them.

When you give your body what it needs, the results are that you feel better, increase your energy and sleep better at night. Who doesn’t need that!

A recent client, “Christine” has lost over fifteen pounds in fifteen sessions. That’s fifteen hours! Is it because of the workouts or the nutrition?

A long term client, “Donna”, has lost substantial weight but more importantly has increased her energy, been more productive in the operation of her multimillion dollar company and has made life style changes that have added years of quality of life to her longevity, including quit smoking. She has a ways to go, but admits, she would not have made it this far on her own. “I would have quit many times, if you had not been there encouraging and supporting me every step of the way.”

“Barb”, a recent client, had a personal best just last week. She began to walk/jog and surprised herself by how easy it was, how well she did and how energetic she felt afterwards and throughout the rest of her day. This young lady is over fifty!

Finally, my star achiever is Michelle. Who after two years, she has not only kept off the 64 pounds she lost in six months, she has continued to lose weight and now runs marathons. Prior to her training, she hated running!

They trained at home and made a commitment to change to their everyday habits little by little. Their results speak for themselves. I am very proud of all of them and their efforts.
